Mystic Aquarium & Institute For Exploration Announced New Whales Up Close Program

If your vacation time this summer is limited, take a day trip to Mystic, Connecticut and see all that our area has to offer! Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration is now offering a new way to have an up-close visit with a beluga whale. Launching on June 1, the Whales Up Close program allows guests to watch a beluga feeding and their special behaviors, with only a three-foot-high window between them and a whale.

Connecticut Student Innovator’s Day - May 9, 2009

Governor M. Jodi Rell has proclaimed May 9 as Connecticut Student Innovators’ Day in recognition of more than 1,600 Connecticut middle and high school students from across the state who have participated in year-long courses and programs that promote STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Students will be presenting team “green” projects in information technology, biotechnology, e-commerce, engineering, science research, health careers and digital media on May 9 at the 2009 Connecticut Innovation Exposition at the Connecticut Convention Center.
